Ficus Rubiginosa Variegata – Variegated Port Jackson Fig

Ficus rubiginosa ‘Variegata’ is a variegated form of the Australian Port Jackson Fig with glossy green foliage splashed and marbled in cream. Variegation varies naturally between individual leaves and plants, while the woody upright growth can be pruned over time to maintain a fuller indoor shape.

Why You’ll Love It ✔️
✔️ Appearance: Glossy green leaves carry naturally variable cream marbling and splashes.
✔️ Growing Appeal: Woody upright growth is adaptable to bright indoor positions and can be pruned to shape.
✔️ Point of Difference: This variegated form combines the foliage shape of the Australian Port Jackson Fig with high-contrast cream patterning.

Care Tips
🌞 Light: Bright indirect light is ideal for maintaining variegation; gentle morning sun can be beneficial once acclimatised.
💧 Water: Allow the upper portion of the mix to dry before watering thoroughly and letting excess drain away.
💦 Humidity: Normal to moderate indoor humidity is suitable; a humidifier can help in very dry rooms.
🌡 Temperature: Aim for 18–30°C and protect from frost and sudden temperature changes.
🌱 Soil: Use a free-draining mix of coco coir, coco chip and perlite.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is already included in the potting mix; supplement lightly with a balanced liquid fertiliser during active growth.
🚫 Toxicity: Ficus latex sap can irritate skin and the mouth; ingestion should be avoided and the plant kept away from pets and children.

Pot Size: 75mm
Shipping Availability: Nationwide

We get a lot of questions about how our shipping works, so here’s a simple breakdown 🌿📦

Our shipping rates are charged per box, with each box able to fit up to 8 × 75mm potted plants.

As a general guide:
• 75mm pots make the best use of space, with up to 8 plants fitting in one box
• 100mm pots take up more space, so a box will usually fit around 3 plants depending on their size and shape

If your order requires more than one box, the website will automatically add the additional shipping charge.

For example:
• Up to 8 × 75mm plants = 1 box
• Larger 100mm plants use more box space and may reduce the total number of plants that fit in each box
