Aglaonema Commutatum ‘Thai Snowflake’ – Speckled Chinese Evergreen
Aglaonema commutatum ‘Thai Snowflake’ is a compact tropical indoor plant with glossy dark green leaves scattered with flecks of white, silver and lime green, like falling snow. The speckling varies from leaf to leaf, and new growth adds brighter flecks at the centre of the plant. A tidy, clump-forming Chinese evergreen, it’s easy to grow and one of the best patterned plants for brightening lower-light corners.
Why You’ll Love It ✔️
✔️ Snowflake speckling – Fine white and lime flecks over dark green leaves give it a lively, textured pattern that lights up any space.
✔️ Easy-care indoor plant – It’s forgiving, slow-growing and adaptable to a range of indoor conditions, so it’s a great choice for beginners, homes and offices.
✔️ Pattern without fuss – Many Aglaonemas have broad silver panels or bold red tones. ‘Thai Snowflake’ has a fine, dotted pattern instead, which gives it a softer, more delicate look.
Care Tips
🌞 Light: Bright indirect light keeps the speckling crisp. It handles medium and lower light better than most patterned plants, though growth will be slower. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
💧 Water: Water when the top few centimetres of mix have dried. It is sensitive to overwatering, especially in winter, so make sure excess water drains away freely.
💦 Humidity: It is happy in average household humidity and does best at around 50% or higher. A humidifier can help in dry or air-conditioned spaces.
🌡 Temperature: 18–30°C is ideal. It is sensitive to cold, so keep it above 15°C and away from cold draughts.
🌱 Soil: Use a well-draining mix of coco coir, coco chip & perlite to prevent waterlogged roots.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is already added to the potting mix. During spring and summer, add a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength every month or so.
🚫 Toxicity: Toxic to pets and people if chewed or eaten. Like other Aglaonemas, it contains calcium oxalate crystals that can irritate the mouth and throat.

A bright, easy-going pick for adding pattern to shadier spots.
We get a lot of questions about how our shipping works, so here’s a simple breakdown 🌿📦
Our shipping rates are charged per box, with each box able to fit up to 8 × 75mm potted plants.
As a general guide:
• 75mm pots make the best use of space, with up to 8 plants fitting in one box
• 100mm pots take up more space, so a box will usually fit around 3 plants depending on their size and shape
If your order requires more than one box, the website will automatically add the additional shipping charge.
For example:
• Up to 8 × 75mm plants = 1 box
• Larger 100mm plants use more box space and may reduce the total number of plants that fit in each box
