Ceropegia Woodi – Chain of Hearts Trailing Vine
Ceropegia woodii, commonly called Chain of Hearts, forms fine cascading vines lined with small heart-shaped leaves patterned in green and silver. Its water-storing tubers and naturally trailing habit make it particularly well suited to hanging pots and elevated shelves.
Why You’ll Love It ✔️
✔️ Appearance – Delicate heart-shaped foliage carries attractive green and silver patterning.
✔️ Growing Appeal – Drought-tolerant growth suits bright indoor positions and hanging displays.
✔️ Point of Difference – Long, fine vines create a light cascading effect without taking up much bench space.
Care Tips
🌞 Light: Bright indirect light is ideal, with gentle morning sun tolerated where acclimatised.
💧 Water: Allow the mix to dry well between waterings, then water thoroughly and drain freely.
💦 Humidity: Average indoor humidity is generally suitable; good airflow is important.
🌡 Temperature: Best between 18–28°C; protect from frost and cold drafts.
🌱 Soil: Use a very free-draining mix of coco coir, coco chip & perlite.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is included in the potting mix; use a balanced liquid fertiliser lightly during active growth if required.
🚫 Toxicity: Pet-safety information is limited; avoid intentional ingestion and keep out of reach where needed.
Also Known As / Synonyms: Chain of Hearts; Rosary Vine; Ceropegia linearis subsp. woodii.
A graceful trailing classic that becomes more impressive as the vines lengthen.
We get a lot of questions about how our shipping works, so here’s a simple breakdown 🌿📦
Our shipping rates are charged per box, with each box able to fit up to 8 × 75mm potted plants.
As a general guide:
• 75mm pots make the best use of space, with up to 8 plants fitting in one box
• 100mm pots take up more space, so a box will usually fit around 3 plants depending on their size and shape
If your order requires more than one box, the website will automatically add the additional shipping charge.
For example:
• Up to 8 × 75mm plants = 1 box
• Larger 100mm plants use more box space and may reduce the total number of plants that fit in each box
