Epipremnum Pinnatum ‘Skeleton Key’ – Mature-Form Climbing Aroid

Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Skeleton Key’ is a climbing aroid best known for the unusual shape its foliage can develop as the plant matures on support. Juvenile leaves are narrower and simpler, with mature growth becoming increasingly elongated and asymmetric.

Why You’ll Love It ✔️
✔️ Appearance – Green leaves develop a distinctive elongated mature form.
✔️ Growing Appeal – Vigorous climbing growth responds strongly to vertical support.
✔️ Point of Difference – The dramatic change from juvenile to mature foliage is the defining feature of ‘Skeleton Key’.

Care Tips
🌞 Light: Bright indirect light is ideal; avoid harsh direct sun.
💧 Water: Water when the upper layer of the mix begins to dry and allow excess water to drain freely.
💦 Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is beneficial; a humidifier can support larger foliage.
🌡 Temperature: Best between 18–30°C; protect from cold drafts.
🌱 Soil: Use a chunky, free-draining mix of coco coir, coco chip & perlite.
🪴 Support: Provide a moss pole or sturdy trellis to encourage the characteristic mature leaf form.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is included in the potting mix; a balanced liquid fertiliser can be used during active growth.
🚫 Toxicity: Toxic if ingested; keep away from pets and children.

A rewarding climber whose foliage becomes more distinctive as it matures.

Pot Size: 75mm
Shipping Availability: Nationwide

We get a lot of questions about how our shipping works, so here’s a simple breakdown 🌿📦

Our shipping rates are charged per box, with each box able to fit up to 8 × 75mm potted plants.

As a general guide:
• 75mm pots make the best use of space, with up to 8 plants fitting in one box
• 100mm pots take up more space, so a box will usually fit around 3 plants depending on their size and shape

If your order requires more than one box, the website will automatically add the additional shipping charge.

For example:
• Up to 8 × 75mm plants = 1 box
• Larger 100mm plants use more box space and may reduce the total number of plants that fit in each box

Awesome

I was very happy when I received my Skeleton key, I have bought plants off others nurseries online, and for the price here, I was able to not only repot into another pot, but able to take cuttings for water.

A+ all around!

A+ all around. These guys don't play when it comes to the quality of the plants and the shipping packaging. The plant was even better than the photo and it was packaged so nicely that nothing, not a single speck of dirt, fell out during transit.

Definitely will be buying more from these guys. Thanks, team!

Beautiful!

My first time ordering from Uprooted. I ordered three different Epipremnum plants and all three arrived looking healthy and fresh. All three are a good size and really good prices. The plants were amazingly well packed and arrived quickly. I've just placed a second order, and I'm sure there will be more.

Lush locks of Skeleton Keys

I bought two Epi.Pin Skeleton Keys, the heir and the spare.
One I am letting trail with it's gorgeous long locks and the other is on a moss pole for the future big leaves.
I cannot wait to see how they grow and if they turn into the skeleton keys I've seen online.
Regardless how they turn out, these are fast growers and you will not be disappointed.
