Alocasia sp. Sulawesi ‘Sabrina Narrow’ Aurea Variegata – Variegated Collector Alocasia

Alocasia sp. Sulawesi ‘Sabrina Narrow’ Aurea Variegata is an exceptionally distinctive collector Alocasia with long, narrow leaves, an upright architectural habit and striking yellow-to-golden variegation across the foliage. The underlying ‘Sabrina Narrow’ form is an undescribed Alocasia from Sulawesi, Indonesia, recognised in cultivation for its slender leaves, subtle venation and patterned petioles; the aurea-variegated form adds bold, irregular colour that makes every leaf unique.

Why You’ll Love It ✔️

✔️ Appearance – Long, spear-shaped leaves combine deep green colouring with irregular aurea variegation in yellow, lime and golden tones.

✔️ Growing Appeal – Its upright, relatively narrow growth habit gives it strong visual impact without the broad spread of many larger Alocasias.

✔️ Point of Difference – ‘Sabrina Narrow’ is already an unusual Sulawesi collector form, and the aurea variegation adds an extra layer of rarity and individuality to each plant.

Care Tips

🌞 Light: Bright indirect light is ideal. Good light helps support strong growth and variegation, but avoid harsh direct midday or afternoon sun, which can scorch lighter sections of the leaves.

💧 Water: Water when the upper few centimetres of potting mix begin to dry. Keep the mix lightly and evenly moist during active growth while avoiding constantly saturated conditions.

💦 Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, with around 60% or higher being beneficial. A humidifier can help in dry indoor conditions.

🌡 Temperature: Ideally around 20–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.

🌱 Soil: Use a loose, chunky, well-draining mix containing coco coir, coco chip & perlite to maintain moisture while allowing plenty of air around the roots.

🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is already added to the potting mix. A balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied occasionally during active growth.

🚫 Toxicity: Alocasias contain insoluble calcium oxalates and are considered toxic if chewed or ingested by pets or children. Keep out of reach.

Also known as: Alocasia ‘Sabrina’, Alocasia sp. Sulawesi ‘Sabrina Narrow’, Alocasia sp. ‘Narrow Sulawesi’

Pot Size: 75mm
Shipping Availability: Nationwide except WA

We get a lot of questions about how our shipping works, so here’s a simple breakdown 🌿📦

Our shipping rates are charged per box, with each box able to fit up to 8 × 75mm potted plants.

As a general guide:
• 75mm pots make the best use of space, with up to 8 plants fitting in one box
• 100mm pots take up more space, so a box will usually fit around 3 plants depending on their size and shape

If your order requires more than one box, the website will automatically add the additional shipping charge.

For example:
• Up to 8 × 75mm plants = 1 box
• Larger 100mm plants use more box space and may reduce the total number of plants that fit in each box
