Epipremnum Aureum - Pearls & Jade – Compact Variegated Pothos
Epipremnum aureum ‘Pearls & Jade’ is a compact variegated pothos with cream, green and occasional grey-green patterning across relatively small heart-shaped leaves. Its shorter internodes and manageable vines suit shelves, hanging pots and climbing supports, with natural variation from leaf to leaf.
Why You’ll Love It ✔️
✔️ Appearance: Cream, green and grey-green marbling creates detailed high-contrast foliage.
✔️ Growing Appeal: Compact vining growth is easy to display trailing or climbing in smaller indoor spaces.
✔️ Point of Difference: Its finer leaves and compact growth distinguish it from many larger-leaved Epipremnum aureum cultivars.
Care Tips
🌞 Light: Bright indirect light is ideal for maintaining variegation; avoid harsh direct sun on pale tissue.
💧 Water: Allow the top 2–3 cm of mix to dry before watering thoroughly and letting excess drain away.
💦 Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but adapts to normal indoor conditions; a humidifier can help in very dry rooms.
🌡 Temperature: Aim for 18–30°C and protect from cold drafts and prolonged temperatures below about 15°C.
🌱 Soil: Use a chunky, free-draining mix of coco coir, coco chip and perlite.
🪴 Support: Allow it to trail or provide a pole or trellis for climbing growth.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is already included in the potting mix; supplement lightly with a balanced liquid fertiliser during active growth.
🚫 Toxicity: Contains insoluble calcium oxalates and is toxic if chewed or ingested; keep out of reach of pets and children.
Also Known As / Synonyms
Pearls & Jade Pothos.
Identification Note
Pearls & Jade can look very similar to ‘Snow Queen’. They are sold as different cultivars even when individual juvenile leaves appear alike.
Compact growth and detailed marbling make this an easy variegated pothos to display.
We get a lot of questions about how our shipping works, so here’s a simple breakdown 🌿📦
Our shipping rates are charged per box, with each box able to fit up to 8 × 75mm potted plants.
As a general guide:
• 75mm pots make the best use of space, with up to 8 plants fitting in one box
• 100mm pots take up more space, so a box will usually fit around 3 plants depending on their size and shape
If your order requires more than one box, the website will automatically add the additional shipping charge.
For example:
• Up to 8 × 75mm plants = 1 box
• Larger 100mm plants use more box space and may reduce the total number of plants that fit in each box
